TEXT: John 14:12-14, Acts 10:38, Matt. 14:26-29, Acts 1:8

AIM: TO BECOME LIKE JESUS NOT ONLY IN HIS PERSONALITY BUT HIS AUTHORITY (ACTS)

INTRODUCTION:
The age of the church today, some believed we can’t be like Jesus, while some others believed we can, but when some real situations arise they discover they couldn’t do what Jesus did. After the “Knowing”, “Discipleship” in order to become like Jesus, there is a practice (practical application). John 14:11-12, Acts 11:26, 4:13, 1:1.

ACTING THE ACTS 2 Kings 2:7-9, 13-15
The application of whatever you claim to know or understand or the actual living according to the principles you claim shows indeed that you are Genuine. The apostles were seen as and called replica of Jesus not just because they had been with Jesus but they ACTED, their actions gave birth to ACTS. Matt 14:26-29, John 14:12-14, Acts 3:6-9

WHAT WILL MAKE THE ACTS WORK?
Faith Rom. 10:17, John 14:12-14, 11:40
Holy Ghost and Power Acts 10:38, Acts 1:8
Fasting and Prayer Matt 17:14-21
Love

WHY SHOULD WE BE LIKE JESUS?
To express God’s Image, Jesus was a Sample. Gen 1:26,John 14:6-7
The world is waiting for us. Rom. 8:19
To partake in His glorious inheritance. Rom. 8:17, 1 John 3:2
He is the perfect example. Phil 2:5, 1 Cor. 11:1

CONCLUSION
It is not enough to be like Jesus in just one aspect, we are expected to grow into His Image in all things, doing everything He does and living for what He lived for.
